“Better a witty fool, than a foolish wit.”
― William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night
“If there really is such a thing as turning in one’s grave, Shakespeare must get a lot of exercise.”
― George Orwell, All Art is Propaganda: Critical Essays
Against what some marketing companies think (as demonstrated in what they actually end up producing, in many instances, unfortunately) excellent content writing should never be some arid practice of bland repetition, listing out the top 5 best affordable, high-quality doodads and whatnots. Yawn – talk about boring and unoriginal!
The move from information writing, even with an SEO tint, to conceptual writing, without giving up proper SEO strategy, is, I firmly believe, the way to really stand out in 2022 with one’s web-copy.
Why do I say this?
Frankly, there’s a whole lot of fakery out there. Meanwhile, people are constantly looking for the real deal!
Today, the internet is more than ever full of webpages and articles regurgitating the same hackneyed ideas and phrases over and over again, adding up to, as Shakespeare put it in Macbeth, “a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
On top of that – as you certainly know – redundant, bland web-copy also happens to be ineffective web-copy; it’s just not often read and rarely ranks well on search engines, since it doesn’t properly distinguish itself or provide clear, engaging value, based on a conceptual strategy.
In the realm of content marketing, what actually works isn’t just articles that have all the right keywords with beautiful design and up-to-date SEO practices. Of course, those help a lot – but ultimately, great content writing isn’t about writing for Google’s algorithms, but for real people with real concerns and real needs.
In that humanist spirit, I would like to offer you SEO content marketing services.
Based in Fort Collins, Conceptual Creations provides ongoing content for a wide-variety of industries, and we always take enormous care to research and seriously think through what is produced in a highly conceptual way. It’s not revolutionary; it only appears so in the context of an internet full of content-mill generated, mind-numbing pabulum and a pervasive laziness that the winds of change hopefully sweep away. It takes longer to write like this, but it is 110% worth it.
